We're Hiring: Technical Process Consultant (BPM & AI) — Join TechLab at bpExperts
bpExperts is looking for a Technical Process Consultant to join our TechLab — the place where BPM meets the agentic age. If you build things with LLMs, know your way around knowledge graphs, and think about processes even when you're writing code, we'd love to hear from you.
Technical Process Consultant (f/m/d) — TechLab at bpExperts
Who We Are
bpExperts is a management consulting company founded by experienced consulting partners passionate about Business Process Management and Business Transformation.
We firmly believe that for organizations to stay successful, Business Transformation must become an organizational capability — not just a project. We work with our customers to embed this change into the fabric of their organization, and we develop integrated solutions in the context of BPM, Risk Management, and Business Transformation initiatives based on established tools and frameworks.
TechLab — Technical Consultant (BPM & AI)
Our TechLab is where BPM meets the agentic age. We build and operate the technical infrastructure that makes intelligent process transformation real — from knowledge graphs and MCP servers to AI-assisted delivery pipelines and next-generation BPM platform integrations. We work at the intersection of process thinking, AI tooling, and modern software architecture, and we expect our people to be comfortable in all three.
As part of the TechLab you will work across customer engagements and internal product development, contributing to some of the most technically ambitious work happening in the BPM space right now.
What You'll Work On
AI & Agentic Infrastructure
- Design and implement MCP servers (Model Context Protocol) that expose business data and process content as structured tool calls for AI agents
- Build and operate agentic pipelines — end-to-end automated workflows connecting tools like GitHub, YouTube, LinkedIn, and internal knowledge systems with minimal human-in-the-loop overhead
- Work with large language models (Claude, GPT-4o, Gemini) in production contexts: prompt engineering, structured outputs, tool use, multi-step reasoning chains
- Develop AI-assisted delivery accelerators for process documentation, requirements generation, and transformation content
Knowledge Graph & Data Architecture
- Build and maintain Neo4j knowledge graphs that structure process content, reference frameworks, compliance obligations, and transformation assets as connected, queryable data
- Write and optimise Cypher queries for data migration, graph enrichment, and agentic read/write operations
- Connect knowledge graph infrastructure to BPM tools, AI agents, and web-facing content pipelines
BPM Platform Engineering & Process Intelligence
Platform configuration and integration
- Configure, integrate, and extend leading BPM platforms: SAP Signavio, SAP Cloud ALM, ARIS, Celonis, LeanIX
- Build and maintain API integrations between BPM tools, SAP S/4HANA, and adjacent enterprise systems
- Support process governance deployments and the technical integration of analytics and reporting layers
Process mining & ETL
- Design and implement event log extraction pipelines from enterprise source systems — SAP (ECC, S/4HANA), Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Oracle, and others
- Translate raw transactional data into meaningful, analysis-ready event logs: identifying the right case notion, activity mapping, timestamp selection, and handling of data quality issues
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines using SQL, Python, and platform-native connectors (Celonis Studio, ProM, PM4Py, or equivalent) that are reproducible, version-controlled, and maintainable in production
- Connect process mining outputs to knowledge graph infrastructure — feeding discovered process variants, bottlenecks, and compliance deviations back into Neo4j as structured, queryable insights
Modern Web & Content Infrastructure
- Develop and maintain internal tooling and customer-facing platforms using modern web frameworks (Next.js, React)
- Build content operating systems where AI agents draft, review queues gate, and publish pipelines distribute — with full version control and branch-based deployment via Railway / GitHub
- Manage structured asset pipelines (Cloudflare R2) and CMS layers exposed via MCP
SAP Integration
- Design and implement integrations across SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Ariba, and hybrid landscapes
- Support process documentation and governance tooling in SAP transformation contexts
Your Profile
Must-have
- Solid grounding in modern software development — comfortable with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, and SQL; you write code, not just read it
- Experience with AI tooling in production — you've built something real with LLMs, not just experimented in notebooks
- Understanding of graph data models or strong motivation to develop it fast; Neo4j/Cypher experience is a significant advantage
- Familiarity with BPM concepts and tools — you know what a process model is, what process mining does, and why governance matters
- Systems thinking — you model problems before you solve them, and you design for maintainability from the start
- Fluent English, written and spoken; German is a plus
Strong advantage
- Hands-on experience with SAP Signavio, SAP Cloud ALM, ARIS, or Celonis
- Experience building or consuming MCP servers or similar tool-use infrastructure for AI agents
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture, APIs, and integration patterns
- Experience with Next.js or comparable modern full-stack frameworks
- Familiarity with make.com, n8n, or similar automation/orchestration platforms
- Hands-on experience building event log extractions from at least one major ERP system (SAP preferred; Dynamics 365, Salesforce, or Oracle also relevant)
- Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and event log construction from transactional tables
Who You Are
- You build things — you don't wait for perfect requirements before you start
- You're as comfortable in a client workshop as you are in a terminal
- You learn fast under real constraints, not just from documentation
- You think about processes even when you're writing code — and about code even when you're designing processes
- Entrepreneurial mindset: you see the gap between what exists and what should exist, and you move toward it
Why TechLab at bpExperts
We are not a body-shop. TechLab is where we build the infrastructure that differentiates bpExperts as a firm — the knowledge graphs, the agent pipelines, the MCP servers, and the content systems. You will work on things that don't exist yet, alongside people who are figuring them out in real time, for clients who are genuinely trying to transform. The learning curve is steep and the work is varied. That's the point.
