Six weeks on, our trends knowledge graph shows the character of those signals shifting decisively: governance and BPM/EA convergence are the fastest-rising clusters, while agentic AI announcements have plateaued. The loud question is no longer *which AI use cases exist?* It is *who is accountable when one of them acts* — sharpened by the EU AI Act transparency obligations that took effect on 2 August. That shift exposes a gap no single capability closes. A signal map tells you where AI is being announced. An architecture tells you where it can land in your process estate. The **BPM Pulse Survey 2026** from BPM&O quantifies it: 83% already treat process management as business-critical, roughly 55% are actively piloting AI in process management, yet only about 9% have integrated AI across multiple processes with governance, data quality and new roles established.
